I agree with you. Fox news has turned into a wild rant fixated on overthrowing civil discourse and democracy. They mix real news with commentary, gossip, lies, and sensationalism, but unfortunately do not tell their audience which is which.
While claiming that they are fair and balanced, they are also deceptive since they lean right through ommision of the facts when all else fails.
People who request that they be removed from your mailing list because they disagree with your blog about Rupert Murdoch, are the perfect example of that which FOX has taught them about being tolerant of different opinions and positions.
They are not. They cannot accept any opinion that does not agree with the brainwashing they have received from the bully pulpit of Rupert Murdoch and FOX.

This is a good column on a very important topic. The general citizenry seems to be looking the other way rather than facing Murdoch's threat. Thanks for giving people in NCW a reminder!!!

Twelve years olds are a curious lot and you better do your homework well before you take them out to Washington DC to Capitol Hill and the White House!! It is good that they get exposed to the political matters and it will give them a general idea how things are handled in the government! I sure there will be both positives and negatives for them but the all “high” is that we now have, for the first time ever a Black as our President which is a significant social reform that we have achieved!

What a beautiful message during Easter! I was really touched reading the absolute unity of the Muslims and Christians of Turkey who are able to live in peace and harmony in spite of belonging to different religions and creed!! We should emulate the example by these brothers and sisters that it is possible and even then share and respect the religion of another! Let us remember that God sees all of us as his no matter to which religion we may belong to!!

Credit cards issued by the banks are not prudently utilized; you will wind up being in a lot of trouble!! We are the innocents victims who become the prey to all the hidden agenda of the bank and it is there to pounce on us when we least expect it!! I've had my share of bitter experience and have since been very judicious when making use of it!! And the CPP plan is just too clever and we are their easy targets! We should surely take this up with the concerned authorities and do what is necessary to protect our rights!

I was shocked that training is not necessary before a firearm license is issued to a firearm owner!! How worse can it get?? We see so many cases of shootings even in schools where they manage to bring firearms to school? We have to consider this major issue with all seriousness before waiting for a tragedy to happen before it is enforced (as is usually done!!) In fact, I think it would be a great idea to ban issuing license of firearms to the youth as they are the ones who are most prone to become victims in gang fights, honor killings, etc!

There is no doubt that women fare better when balancing the budget and what a fantastic evaluation Jim's Mom has done about the state budget!! With each aspect being taken individually, she has given her to for supporting or negating a policy for spending in the state budget!! I endorse her views totally and feel that the state could have done better in the areas that are pointed out! The reasons are also given so we can see how things will turn out in the end!!
